Sentinel is a family home located on Sugarloaf Bay, Castlecrag, Sydney. The design merges city living and the magnificent waterfront bushland setting, with architecture celebrating the site uniqueness. The design comprises two buildings linked by the glazed lobby; one which addresses the street and accommodates the garage and studio, the other which addresses the water and includes separate zones for parents, living, sleeping and casual entertaining. Low pitched roofs with broad overhangs and vertical screens modulate the sun, frame views and control privacy.
