SUSTAINABLE HOUSE, ORANGE

Designed to capitalise on the panoramic views from the elevated 2Ha site, the house embodies passive solar design principles and is off grid, relying on solar power with battery storage and on rainwater collection and storage. Waste water is treated on site and used for irrigation. External Colorbond cladding was chosen for its bold profile, the colour harmonising with the prominent basalt outcrops.
