The Giles Tribe Concept Plan identified suitable future development on the former hospital site comprising of an area of 28.1 Ha. A low & high yield scheme of 290 - 400 dwellings was developed. Due to its natural setting on the Hawkesbury River and location along the Newcastle Freeway, 9 precincts were established each with a relevant use & character. It incorporates a waterfront village, medium density residential and mixed use development, highway service centre, marina, and community facilities.
